I first started my illustration career during my senior year at Virginia Commonwealth University, working on a children's book painted traditionally with acrylics. After several years of traditional drawing and painting it became clear that digital media could offer far more visual options and opportunities. I now work almost exclusively with digital art applications.
After several years of trying to build a freelance career and working odd jobs (like print shop lackey or stagehand) I decided to further my education. At the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), I studied illustration, graphic design, and game development. Soon after graduating from SCAD I started as a product designer and illustrator at a Richmond VA based, home decor company. I spent my time there designing products for companies like Harley-Davidson and the NFL. I now work on a predominately freelance basis.
My work generally depicts whimsical and fantastic subject matter. As a child I was heavily influenced by the cartoons and movies of the 1980's and those themes will often find their way into my art.
I appreciate you taking the time to check out my work and encourage you to contact me with any questions or inquiries you may have.
